Shaw Building prides themselves on providing quality workmanship.

Mark has been involved in the building industry for 39 years, while Shaw Building has been operating as a business for almost 20 years. His career has revolved around a number of challenging projects. His invaluable experience, knowledge and understanding of the industry has ensured, that our own company, provides each and every client with excellence and quality.

Mark is the builder. We do not sub-contract our projects out to other builders, each project is personally supervised by Mark and all of the carpentry work is done by Mark himself and his support staff. Mark co-ordinates all the sub-contractors and ensures that their work is carried out to the high standards of the client’s expectations. Mark is readily available at any time to answer any questions the client may have with regard to their project.

We understand that our clients want value for money. Our aim is to continue providing a service to our clients that ensures that their dreams become reality as smoothly as possible. A building project is often quite challenging and there are generally a few minor problems of some sort along the way, we appreciate that communication is of vital importance and we aim to keep the client fully informed with regular progress reports.

A successful business is measured by the quality of service it provides. We gain great satisfaction to be able to complete a project and know that we have left our clients satisfied that their financial and emotional expenditure was well worth their while.

We decided that we needed more room, but that we wanted to stay where we were. We drew up our plans and went out to tender for the building. With over a dozen quotes returned, the Shaws quote impressed us the most. It wasn’t the cheapest, but it was the most detailed. What other builders had estimated, Mark Shaw calculated. It was also the most detailed. We spoke to the other builders along with Mark and Cathy Shaw and ultimately decided to go with the Shaws. Their approach and candidness together with Mark’s vast building experience impressed us the most. Throughout the building process, Mark always kept us informed and liaised with the architect when necessary. Cathy was always available to answer questions and was a pleasure to deal with. I have known Mark and Cathy Shaw since Mark first worked on the refurbishment of the Centennial Parklands Restaurant and Cafe in 1997.
